Call for Papers – “Business and Human Rights: International Law challenges, European responses” – University of Milan

The University of Milan – in the framework of the course on Business and Human Rights in EU Law (co-Funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the EU) – has launched a call for papers for the International Conference “Business and Human Rights: International Law challenges, European responses”, that will take place in Milan (Italy) on May 29-30, 2017.

International Conference on Business and Human Rights – Seville, 20-21 October 2016

It is now available the final programme of the International Conference on Business and Human Rights, jointly organized by the University of Seville and the Research Project DER2013-41956-P, the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies (University of Leuven) – FWO Research Community on Business and Human Rights and FRAME project and the the BHRight Initiative.

Open call for session proposals for the 5th UN Forum on BHR

The UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights opened a call for submitting proposals for parallel sessions of the 5th UN Forum on Business and Human Rights that will be held in Geneva on November 14-16, 2016. The deadline is July 31, 2016.

Prof. Surya Deva appointed as Asia-Pacific member of the Un Working Group on Business and Human Rights

The ESIL Interest Group on International Business and Human Rights congratulates prof. Surya Deva for his appointment as new Asia-Pacific representative of the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights.

Prof. Deva is one of the Editor-in-Chief of the Business and Human Rights Journal and his main areas of research regard business and human rights, CSR and sustainable development.

EU Roadmap – Conference on Business & Human Rights

The European civil society and the Netherlands are jointly organising a pan-European, multi-stakeholder conference during the Dutch presidency of the EU in spring 2016. The event, that will take place on May 11, 2016 in Amsterdam, promotes a two-pronged approach, which is to implement the UNGPs at EU level as well as national level.

Annual Meeting of the French Society for International Law – Paris, 19-21 May 2016

The French Society of International Law is delighted to announce its Annual Meeting will take place on 19-21 May 2016 at the University Paris VIII, Paris (France).

The Executive Committee cordially invite the submission of proposals and abstracts on the theme of Multinational Corporations and International Law, particular in respect of the international obligations of MNCs and the comparative and EU law perspectives.
